 Objective:
Clearly state the objective of your project.

Our I C.A.R.E. team objective was to raise awareness and promoting safe driving practices among students, staff, and parents. Through educational initiatives, interactive events, and ongoing advocacy efforts, our aim is to reduce the number of accidents and promote a safer environment on the roads for everyone.

Execution:
Describe your project and its implementation.

We executed our project in our school through various ways.  We worked on an awareness campaign with our classmates being the main focal point.  We did educational activities, peer to peer influence and community awareness.

School/Community Engagement:
How did you reach your student body and the community? (examples: connecting with nearby colleges, schools, local police departments, persons affected by teen crashes, local/county/state governments, and local businesses)

We were able to reach our student body through running activities and trying to build school spirit based around our club and safe driving.

Creativity:
What makes your project unique and engaging? How did you engage with other student groups to creatively spread your message? (Examples: create artwork, music, plays, unique campaign slogan/logos)

We tried to make our team logo a frequent visual for our school to see.  Our logo was on everything we promoted this year.  Club members created signs, posters, advertisements, and events to get our school involved.

Teamwork:
Show how you worked as a team in designing and implementing your project (examples: sign-in sheets at meetings, photos of the group working on tasks).

Our team met once every other week throughout the school year.  Unfortunelty, we missed several meetings due to conflict of schedule and our team members being pulled to other clubs and rehearsals.  However, our team still worked together to make sure our school had events and things to look forward to.

Use of Research/Data:
Show how you used local resources to help identify, deliver, assess, and present your project (Examples: local/statewide/national data.).

This year we mainly focused on spreading our message amongst our peers.  We did try and get the word out to parents on what our team’s message was.  We used our school showcase events to further push our mission.

Use of Media:
Document how you used media in your project (examples: local radio, TV, newspapers, social media, websites, video, PSAs).

This year we partnered with the HERO Campaign to help deliver the importance of smart driving.  Working with them also allowed them to further drive their mission of their campaign.

Evaluation and Impact:
Describe how you measured the impact of your project (examples: pre/post observational studies, surveys, quizzes, interviews, etc.)

Our main way of measuring impact was having the discussions of safe driving.  Safe driving is so important now with more cars on the road and more distractions then ever, we just really want our peers to have constant reminders to just drive when they are behind the wheel.

Sustainability:
How will your project have a lasting effect on your target group?

Our project will have a lasting effect within our school because we have made safe driving a responsible and cool thing to do.

Unexpected Lessons Learned:
Describe any unintended results that came out of your project.

We were surprised and pleased to see how excited our musical audience was when we gave out all of our safety prizes at our school’s musical.

Stipend Reporting:
Your school received a stipend to support your Champion School Teen Driving Safety Project. Additionally, any funds that you raised as a result of your project must be reinvested into transportation safety. The purpose of this report is to itemize expenditures for your project that were paid from the stipend
