Objective:
The objective of our project is to help educate others about the necessity of preventing drinking and driving.

Target Audience:
All students (grades 8-12) and staff members of Westwood High School.

Execution:
We implemented the prevention of drinking an driving by creating an event called Don’t Jeopardize Your Life. As explained in our video, the event consisted of students and staff answering a Jeopardy question that was related to drinking and driving. After the question was answered, the participants received a key chain to put on their keys to remember to be a safe driver at all times.

Teamwork:
We had sign in sheets at meetings, had photos of groups working on different tasks, and created an executive board that consisted of President, Vice President, Secretary, and Social Media chairs. In addition, we had bake sales and created an event called Don’t Jeopardize Your Life to help educate others about our mission.

Use of Resources:
We used our social media accounts of Twitter and Instagram to promote the messages that was sent through U Got Brains. In addition, we made announcements over the loud speaker at school.

Use of Media:

Thoroughness:
We researched different facts and statistics about drinking and driving. The facts show that there is not enough awareness about this topic.

Impact:
We measured the change during our event. After the Jeopardy question was answered, students completed a survey that demonstrated they learned something new through our event and found it was important. The results of this survey can be found in the video.

Sustainability:
Our project will have a lasting effect within the target group. Besides our event, Safe a Life Tour visited to help students simulate a drunk driving experience. Students have learned the impairments that occur when this happens. This is a lesson they can remember forever.
